What is Phimosis ?
The foreskin in some men is very narrow. It cannot be pulled back completely or even partially.
This causes lack of hygiene and pain in intercourse and sometimes even difficulty in passing urine.
How severe is your Phimosis ?
You can assess severity of your phimosis using this simple scale
Grade 1
You can easily pull back the skin completely in flaccid state but with difficulty in erect state
Grade 2
You can pull back the skin completely in flaccid state but not at all in erect state
Grade 3
You can pull back skin only partially in the flaccid state and not at all in erect state
Grade 4
You cannot even see the urine hole or meatus when trying to pull back the skin
What is are the treatment options for Phimosis ?
If you have a mild phimosis (grade 1 and some cases of grade 2) you could try a combination of creams, stretching exercises and silicon rings to stretch the foreskin. For higher grades of phimosis you need to choose a laser circumcision, stapler circumcision or Routine Circumcision.
